I first met Nicci when I was shooting her brother-in-law's wedding just over at year ago at The Old Church near Napier. I remember thinking at the time, 'now THAT is going to be one hot little bride'. When I arrived in the middle of Suzanne Hardy's hair-and-makeup love-fest (at the aptly named cottage 'The Love Shack', just outside Havelock North), I was already fizzing with excitement. Five really gorgeous bridesmaids backing up one seriously lovely bride....and this was before they were even dressed. Just up the hill at Ribbonwood Cottages, Matty and his crew were 'grooming up' and then lining up for the the best posie to see the bride, which of course belonged to Matty (from this point onwards, known as a.k.a. 'lucky bugger').

Yes it was raining, yes we were in the full throes of plan B. Did it matter? Not a bit. I'm not sure who was buzzing more about this wedding day, the soon-to-be-Mardens...or their photographer.

Mother nature played her part on the day by holding off the rain for a garden wedding at Sileni Winery, a beautiful country wedding venue in the heart of Hawkes Bay wine country, days before harvest.

So that's the backstory. A picture says a thousand words so enough of those from me...just enjoy (adore, rave about) this awesome couple's equally awesome wedding photography.
