Farm Boys - by Hawkes Bay family photographer, Eva Bradley

One of the things I love most about being a photographer is the way I get to share a slice of the magic between people in love. My first taste of this with Amanda and Craig was on their wedding day several years ago. I was so happy when Amanda's mum snuck into the studio recently to get a voucher for a family session with the two perfect wee boys who have arrived since the wedding, Lachie and Sam. Little boys have lots of energy and I was stoked to hear they live on a big farm near Tuitira - lots of opportunities for getting grubby and exploring. Plus their family photography would be anchored in a location that would always hold special memories.

We delayed the shoot for a month because Sam was just learning to walk. Needless to say I was pretty impressed when I arrived to discover in that short time he wasn't just walking, but starting to climb fences and get behind the wheel of the farm buggy (engine off!). Future Young Farmer of the Year, I reckon.
