So why am I sharing a session shot in Autumn? Well, aside from it being the most beautiful season to shoot in thanks to gorgeous golden light and landscape and settled weather here in Hawke’s Bay, I’m also fully booked till then and giving you some inspiration to book your session now while there is space in my calendar.

The Parris family were given a voucher for a lifestyle session with me for Christmas last year. Such a fab idea. Sessions are $195 and you decide once you’ve seen your online gallery which prints or digital files you’d like to purchase.

Another great reason autumn works well for family portrait photography in Hawke’s Bay is because sunset is at a naturally good time for little people - I tend to meet families about 6pm. This fits in well after work and dinner and just like baby lambs in spring, kids get that playful burst of energy just before bedtime.

My style is candid and natural. Of course I’ll always get the traditional images with you all nicely grouped and looking at the camera, but my true passion lies in connecting with your small people and playing with them so that the images reflect the joy and innocent pleasure of being little. It’s a chaotic but beautiful stage of family life and wow does it go fast!

A huge thanks to the Parris family for letting me share these beautiful autumn images. If a shoot like this tickles your heart strings, here’s where you can get all the info on PRICES AND OPTIONS.

Autumn family sessions are scheduled an hour before sunset Monday-Friday. Please GET IN TOUCH EARLY to book as I have a maximum of two family sessions per week.
