Chris & Melissa - Greenhill Lodge, Hawkes Bay

For a Hawkes Bay wedding photographer, the first country wedding of summer is an aphrodisiac a little like falling in love. Pair me and my lens with historic Greenhill Lodge with its jaw-dropping backdrop of rolling hills and it is hard to imagine a more perfect match. I was already sold on foxy groom, Chris, when I saw him in his kilt. Then I heard about how he popped the question and the deal was sealed. He surprised Melissa with a trip to the beautiful coastal town of Cinque Terre in Italy where his starlit proposal beside the crashing waves produced the short word every man is ultimately after; yes.

I was so excited to not only shoot my first wedding at the beautiful Greenhill Lodge, but to have such a gorgeous couple as well.

"Eva was magnificent, she has great ideas and her attention to detail was brilliant," said Melissa. "She was able to direct a crowd and communicate what she needed to happen for her shots. She made the whole photography experience fun and memorable."
