Sophia at sunset - Baby portrait photography session, Te Mata Peak.

Family portrait photographer, Eva Bradley Photography, took this photo of a baby on Te Mata Peak.

I’m often asked ‘what is the best age for baby photography’ and I always say ‘any age in that first year is perfect’ simply because babies grow and change and are impossibly adorable no matter what is going on in their little lives. But there’s a bit of an x-factor that happens around the sixth month. At this age, they are so full of smiles and the engagement with their parents is amazing. They have delicious chubby little legs and can usually sit up on their own - great for solo portraits. I took little Sophia to the top of Te Mata Peak in Hawke’s Bay with her parents close to sunset and here are 20 of my favourite frames from our portrait photography session.

Sophia’s parents were given a voucher by their own parents to cover the portrait photography session fee and some prints. I thought this was a really thoughtful gift. If you’d like to find out more about prices and options check out my Family Portrait Photography investment page. and please get in touch if you’d like to book.
